Tim, while the link-sec issue is plausible, you would normally get a 'bounds
violation' if your boundaries were not correct (if memory serves me
correctly).  You may want to check the value of zeros being set in the
TAPPI-START-POS-CM since that field's name implies that it's used as a
pointer to some other data structure, and zero as a byte position may be
hosing you up.
