It will be Monday before I can call the HPRC so maybe someone on the list
can shed some light on my CM KSAM problem.  Oh, please save all the
"upgrade to NM KSAM" suggestions because that's not possible -- the
application is headed for the bitbucket April, 1999.

The symptom is that records can not be found using the index.  A serial
read of the file shows the "missing" records are actually present.
Rebuilding the file with MPEX ALTFILE  solved the problem.  Today is the
second time in three weeks this has happened.  The first time I wrote it
off to gremlins.

The file has two indexes both are repeating. It ranges from 60,000 to
90,000 records during the month.  During month-end processing, records over
90 days old are deleted and MPEX ALTFILE is used to drop deleted records.
There are three other CM KSAM files in the app and none of them have shown
the same problem.  The os is MPE/iX 5.0 PP5.

Any thoughts on the possible cause and cure?
