I am opposed to dividing this list.
 
I work on both 3000/9xx and 9000/8xx machines and while I certainly have
a greater regard for the HP3000 I am not blind to the potential of the
9000 either.  I have found it exceptionally helpful on occasion to have
read how others resolved problems relating to interconnection and task
sharing between these two families of machines.
 
I am of the opinion that splitting the discussion that takes place here
into two lists along the lines proposed would have the effect of
intellectually impoverishing both.
