Not only is there an SR with a future fix, there's a patch: MPEJXE6. This
patch has since been superceded; the latest GR patch which includes this
fix is MPEJXH2, version "G". Note that when this patch is applied, two other
dependent patches must also be applied: MPEJX83 and MPEJXL8. These patches
have also been superceded... So, the latest GR patches including these fixes
are MPEJX79, version "B" and MPEJXL8, version "B", respectively.

Also, note the following comments in the patch text for MPEJXL8:

  Software Product/Application Dependencies
  =========================================
If this is the first STORE patch applied since updating to MPE/iX
Release 5.5, and Express 2 or later has not yet been installed, the
application of this patch will introduce a new TURBOSTORE product
structure. In this case, when applying this patch, TURBOSTORE II
(B5151AA) and TURBOSTORE 7x24 (B5152AA) customers should install
the appropriate TURBOSTORE product from the MPE/iX 5.5 Express 2
subsystem tape in order to install the complete new TURBOSTORE
  product structure.

In summary, to patch this problem, get MPEJXH2G, MPEJX79B and MPEJXL8B from
the Response Center, and ensure you install the appropriate TSTORE product from
the Express 2 subsys tape, if you have TurboSTORE on your system.

Or, you can just edit the CATALOG.PUB.SYS file to add the lines Jeff's text
mentions... :>

Cheers,

Sandra
