Sounds great to me!  This will keep (sorry for the abuse of the phrase Jeff K. :)
"brain dead" spoolfile analysis programs which don't follow the job logic
from thinking there is a problem when there really isn't.  I can forgive operators
while their learning, but some vendors never learn!

  While your at it, how about swiping another bit for suppressing lines of:
.  COMMENT
.  #
.  {white space}
