I attended a conference in Albuquerque this year and the environment was
wonderful. The conference center was good, many restaurants, local bus
service to Old Towne was convenient.

I agree about the location and beauty of the airport, HOWEVER, it took me 1
½ hours of standing in line to get a taxi to the hotel.  The airport
transportation is designed for moving masses of people to the car rental
area, it is NOT designed to move one or two folks at the time to a hotel.
The taxi services were simply overwhelmed with two conferences in town at
the same time.  And the hotel shuttles were used to get people to the
casinos, not from/to the airport.  The conference I attended ended up
arranging for bus transportation from the hotels on the last day or people
were going to miss their flights.  The transportation issue started and
ended my stay with disappointment.
