Hello,
In my program that does not much more then formatting and listing the
contents of binary file to the terminal (emulator) screen, I occasionally
get a FSERR 248 (Access to this file is denied for the specified file
access. A security violation occurred.) when I try to open the same file for
a second time in the same process.
I think I checked the obvious things, the user and the program have read
access to the file. (The program can open the file the first time)
The file is closed between the two HPFOPEN calls, verified using listf,9
The file is not used by other processes, also verified using listf,9
The only particularity in the HPFOPEN call is that the file is opened with
the Multirecord and Inhibit Buffering options set. But since the first call
to HPFOPEN succeeds I don't see why these cause a problem.
The problem occurs on MPE/iX 7.0, I have not seen it on earlier releases.
Any ideas how to investigate further would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Johan Harmsen
