You're right, that article says it all.

If the Greenies would just let up on the environment thing, the whole
problem
would be solved. We could drill for more NG, we could burn coal, create
more hydro plants, drill offshore, build more power plants.

When you're freezing your butt off this winter or next, don't forget to
say thanks to you friendly neighborhood tree huggers.

But seriously, I'm just making fun of that site you quoted. My comments
above are no where near as far right as the far left lunacy found on that
site.

I'm sure a better balance between being environmentally friendly and
allowing NG drilling/exploration, new power plants (hydro and coal) can be
achieved.
But it takes cooperation. Some of California's energy problems could have
been
solved if the had they built a power plant or two. I'm not saying that is
the cure all
but it would help.

Tim

John,

So glad you posted this. I was going to post that article too but I did not
want to create to much controversy on the list. That article along with
others is why I said what I said in my posting. Michael Ruppert does good
work in my opinion. I used to subscribe to his web site/newsletter but I let
it expire...:-( If anyone is interested in reading some interesting and
controversial points of view check out this web site!

John,

Please check out the article below:

http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/ww3/062303_nat_gas_crisis.html

According to what it says the natural gas industry in the U.S. and Canada
may be in for the perfect storm so to speak. Unfortunately for us it
doesn't appear to be a Hollywood creation, but the real deal. Maybe now we
can start doing something about responsible use of nuclear fuel to generate
electricity before we all freeze!

Stay Warm,

[HP3000-L] WAY OT: Electricity production

Dear Library of Knowledge:

Up here on the tundra, we have the option of pre-paying for our next year's
use of natural gas, which I did last year at what I thought was an
attractive price. And it must have been too attractive, because I just got
my renewal statement, and for the next year, the price is 53% higher if I
choose to lock in again. So I called the gas company and was told that
the primary cause of the steep increase is that natural gas is now being
used to produce electricity, especially in California, putting pressure on
demand. Anybody care to comment on this? Am I being fed a bunch of bull?

TIA,

John Lee
