I've got an old 948 (NOT part of the 9x8 line) that I use for testing
purposes (I do have software support for updates btw so it is legal but it
has long since gone off hardware support). It has 2 SCSI cards, one for an
external DDS tape drive and one for six 2GB SCSI disk drives. Internally, it
has two 670MB HP-IB disk drives and a HP-IB DDS drive.

MPE/iX 6.5 will not support HP-IB, in fact it will not even have the code
for HP-IB. Does anyone know if I can re-configure this 948 to, in effect,
disable the HP-IB peripherals and primary boot from a SCSI drive and
alternate boot from the SCSI tape drive? Does the TMUX present additional
problems?
