Hello HP3000 Listers,



I'm having a problem with locking a dataset in some COBOL programs I am

modifying, and I hope someone can help me. I am adding a new database to

these programs, and trying to lock a dataset in MODE 3 and add a record

to it. The error I keep getting is:



TURBOIMAGE ERROR AT $00247464; RETURN STATUS = -135

DBLOCK, MODE 3, ON TABLE-NAME OF SUNLDX.CURRENT

DBLOCK CALLED WHEN LOCKS ALREADY IN EFFECT



I know the dataset has not been previously locked. I have tried doing an

unlock and then a lock, and get the same results. I have also tried

doing a PUT to the dataset, and get an error telling me the dataset is

not locked. The programs have other databases in them which are being

locked and updated, but an unlock is done right after. 



I don't know if it makes a difference but the database I am trying to

add has been newly created. Using Adager, I took an existing database,

added all the new sets and items to it and deleted all the old sets and

items.



What am I missing or doing wrong. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
