Do you mean Fibre Channel infrastructure devices such as hubs,
routers/bridges, and switches? Or Fibre Channel storage devices such
as the VA7100, FC60, and XP512? Guessing the latter.

The 3000 and e3000 only support SCSI HBAs. MPE/iX 7.5 (est. 2H 2002)
should add support for the PCI FC HBA on the e3000. To hook up
FC-attach storage devices, you need the A5814A SCSI-FC Bridge/Router
(and MPE/iX 5.5 or later). It's a Vicom box resold by HP.

HP supports connecting the XP48 and XP512 via this Bridge (no hubs or
switches allowed between the Bridge and the XP) so long as the Bridge
is the only device on that SCSI controller (subject to change, as with
all things HP).

HP should add support for the VA7100 using this Bridge anytime now (if
not already). No support for the FC60 that I know of, and no support
intended, that I have seen, for the VA7400.

Vicom states public and private loop support by the FC port on the
Bridge, and I think fabric support might be available. You're just
going to have to get with HP and see what they know to work and not to
work with the A5814A. Too many variables.
