It doesn't have anything to do with whether the patch is downloaded, but
probably whether it's an enhancement or a fix (oversimplified, but generally
true). If this is an enhancement to Streams/iX, Patch/iX will disqualify the
patch and you must force it (after first verifying with the HPRC that this is
OK). However, if this is a KPR fix, and the patch disqualifies, you should,
again, contact the HPRC for advice.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Streams patch installation
I am using Patch/iX to install the "GENERAL FIXES FOR STREAMS/IX ON MPE 6.0
Release (A Patch)" id STRFDC5A.
When I go into the Qualify Patches menu it shows :
>[ ] STRFDC5A No GR A,N CSLT/Store Yes Reactive
and the detailed information says it is not recommended to force this patch
:
QUALIFICATION STATUS:
Disqualified (patch naturally disqualifies - force not recommended)
Did I miss something... or is this normal for downloaded patches?
