I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this before, but PC Week
has an article mentioning the HP3000 in its August 31st issue (page 16).
Here is a snippet that I found amusing:



                The Palo Alto, Calif., company is also working on a version
                of its MPE-IX operating system that's easier to use. The
                upgraded operating system, due in October, will give
                administrators more direct access to applications and is
                designed to resemble Windows NT.
