I will echo Joe's warning about messing with MSDOS.SYS--it's hidden/system/read
only for a reason. However, if you really, really want to change this setting,
pop your Win98 setup CD in the drive and navigate to
<CDROM drive>:\tools\reskit\powertoy
and install the TweakUI powertoy. Once it's installed you can open it from the
Control Panel. Go to the "Boot" tab and you can change the setting there.
