I'm still waiting to see the evidence of this statement.

For the record, it does appear that Earth is warming. It also appears that
Mars is warming. Is Mars warming also anthropogenic?

As a species, we seem to have this tendency to believe that we control more
than we do. We believed that the Sun and the stars revolved around us. We
believed that we controlled the weather or volcanic eruptions by our
displeasing behavior toward the gods. Hell, the women in Fahrenheit 911 told
a group of us that the election of GWB caused the Tsunami in January. The
power humans wield in our minds is staggering.

There is evidence that the Earth has warmed and cooled in the past. We
believe that the Earth has been far warmer than it is now - yes, even before
the industrial revolution.

So the SCIENTIFIC (not political) questions that one might ask about global
temperature:

Are humans more powerful than the Sun?
Is the Sun's output constant or runs in cycles?
Why is Mars warming too? Is Earth warming faster than Mars? How does the
atmospheres of Earth and Mars differ? What effect does that have on their
temperatures?
Is there a tipping point between times of warming and cooling? Have they
happened in the past? If so, what caused them? Is man powerful enough to
push a global climate past this point?

Science has NOTHING to do with pedigree and any real scientist will tell you
that it doesn't matter who proclaims a theory true, it only matters if that
person can not only arrive at some truth but also explain it to others so
that they can test it or break it. If one is going to accept another's word
then that's called faith and not science.

So I make this humble request of the group: if one wants to disseminate a
"scientific" claim, please refer us to the data so that we can see the data
for ourselves. There has been a rise in claims of scientific impropriety
(even self-admission) in the news lately and scientific study is giving way
to economic and political bullshit, which does seem to have anthropogenic
roots. Clearly, how to handle global temperature changes is in the realm of
politics, but we should know our facts before we make these decisions.
