Hi all,

This is just a quick note to let you know that Interex has
approved a new SIG, SIG-Itanium. The main charter for this
SIG (Special Interest Group) is to facilitate two-way
communication regarding IPF on different OSes, and for the
SIG members to have a single advocacy voice when interacting
with HP. HP is dedicated to doing its part to make the SIG
successful, including providing technical engineering data
from one or more of our IPF engineers, as well as higher
level managerial responses.

However, the SIG will not succeed without user and ISV
involvement. So, the first official SIG meeting will be at
HP World in Atlanta on Wed Aug 13. If you are attending HP
World please check the SIG-IPF timeslot and hopefully you'll
be able to attend our inaugural meeting.

If you wish to participate in this SIG please join at:
  http://www.interex.org/advocacy/listservers.html

and scroll down to "itanium"

Thanks and regards,

  Jeff Vance, co-chair
  Ron Seybold, chair
