My 8mm backup unit has failed again.  This time it has only been 3 months
since it was last in the shop.  The mechanism has been replaced 4 or 5
times.  This has been going on ever since we acquired this unit about 3
years ago.
 
I am interested in your experiences with backup hardware and software.  I
need reliable, on-line, fast, high capacity backup.  Does it exist?
