Thanks to all who answered.

We deleted the existing TURBOGTX.PUB.SYS (a PRIV file) base on a document
found under
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=83077&admit=-682735245+1166613007449+28353475
The file was rebuilt when we restared the MINISOFT background process.
Everything turned out to be fine now.

Merry christmas to all of you
friedrich

Just more info.
I only found this error in the Image manual on these intrinsics:
DBXBEGIN, DBXEND, DBXUNDO: -242 Error in TurboGTX file operation.

Hopefully, someone else can fill in more details.

I suspect that the TURBOGTX.PUB.SYS file is corrupt or incompatible
and needs to be rebuilt.

I found on my system 3 TURBO@ files in pub.sys.
I removed them, then accessed a database with query, and the
    TURBODBS, TURBOLKT
were rebuilt in PUB.SYS.
I'm not sure what method, if any, creates the TURBOGTX.
Keven
