here's my take on powerhouse and y2k and dates....

pre-7.29.c8 powerhouse (and yes that means the really old stuff mpe-v)
has a bug in it regarding the calculation of  29 feb 2000.  there is soft-
ware available on congos' web site that you should get if your going
to have 'old' cognos running into the next century.  do a search
for the word 'wedge' at the cognos site to find where they've got
this buried.

on a related topic...i found out yesterday that 7.29.c8 *won't*
be supported after the middle-ish of next year.  8.19.?? should
be available end-ish of june and is what cognos is recommending
folks go to.  8.19 has a number of date enhancements that
might prove helpful to folks.  btw, 8.19 is build on mpe 5.0
(or maybe 5.5).  the 7.xx is build on mpe 4.0.   hth      - d
