FTP hang

The following 'ftp' dialogue caused the process to hang, consuming the
entire CPU and eventually causing a ghost session.  I was able to lower the
priority to the 'ES' queue so that tonight's production could run and I'll
probably be rebooting the machine tomorrow.

Any ideas?
