Calm down, Bernie.....

The vendor's killed a product line...lotsa people invested time, $$$,
emotions etc...yet the product line stays killed.

Let's stop the whatif whining party and move this along...OpenMPE, PERL
ports, etc....there's plenty of life left, even if hp(uke) and parts of
their vaunted 'ecosystem' disagree. Great box, I'm as crushed as anyone
else, but people....change sucks - or didn't you get that memo....let's get
on with life.

Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] Commitment to a product

Comparing MVS business to MPE business to show how much more committed IBM
is than HP may be???????

Let's ask the former System3, System/34, and System/38 users how committed
they thought IBM was as they were forced to convert to the AS/400.

Let's ask them, also, if it was any better than converting to
eunichs/linux/windows/etc. Acquaintances of mine were livid at the all the
problems encountered and lack of tools provided.
