From my last broadcast on Friday, some of the respondents queried as to
the amount of programming desired for the prospective job openings.

Simply, we are looking for Implemementation Consultants (read
"Installers"), Technical Consultants (read "Systems Experts"), Educational
Consultants (read "Trainers"), even a couple Sales Managers.

The position above that would require the most programming skills would be
the Technical Consultants. Although we're not looking for programmers per
se, if a new hiree felt he had a mission to reprogram any part of the
MANMAN application, we would send them in the appropriate department. We
currently have a full complement of MANMAN coders, and such a
person's help would be appreciated.

What the Professional Services Organization of the MK Group at CA are
looking for are those who can make an new installation of either MANMAN
or MK (formerly MANMAN/X) a success for Post Sales. (And yes, there are
still new customers of MANMAN Classic, which is now fully Y2K compliant,
as of version 11.)

Even if you're not interested in this kind of work yourself, perhaps there
is someone in your company or a buddy out of work who has manufacturing
expertise or are simply looking to improve themselves. Perhaps APICS
certification is their goal? This could be a golden opportunity for them.
