1) The study says nothing about adopted kids, which do not live with their
biological parents either.
2) It also says nothing about the not insignificant number of kids raised by
gay and lesbian couples. They can adopt in many states, and there's nothing
preventing a lesbian woman from having her very own baby. (Think "turkey
baster".)
IOW, you're stretching this study to reach conclusions on circumstances that
it does not address. Doing so seldom leads to valid results. Further, it
*also* has no bearing on gay and lesbian couples who do not have children,
which is a much higher percentage of couples than it is of couples
consisting of a man and woman.
The study does have bearing on single mothers and their kids, but stretching
it past that won't wash.
