        :STORE / [log in to unmask]@.@;PURGE
 
to accomplish the cleanup?
 
I believe that
 
        :PURGE /@
 
will simply attempt to empty the contents out of the root directory.  Since
you did not specify "/" by itself and did not use the ;TREE option, there
should be no recursion here.  Keep in mind that you wouldn't want the
recursion either...
