Patrick,

The official position is that the current 16-bit ODBC drivers are being
replaced by an OEM (licensed) version of ODBC/Link from M. B. Foster
Associates. This driver set will be called ODBCLink/SE.

It will have the same capabilities as the current drivers in that they
will permit access to Allbase databases and TurboIMAGE databases via
Image/SQL. There will be 16 and 32 bit versions available.

There is no *official* release date as of yet, but given the latest few
delays, they should be getting close, so look for something within the
first and second quarter (although this is just my guess, I'm not speaking
for HP themselves).

Since ODBCLink has been shipping for some time now, the product should be
solid and be much easier to use than the existing drivers. Also,
upgrading to the full ODBCLink product (which permits access to TurboIMAGE
databases natively as well as KSAM and MPE files, among other features)
will be seamless according to the press releases and related documents
which have been released jointly by HP and M. B. Foster.

Best Regards,
Joe
