Thanks a lot everyone for your help. Gilles recommended to perform an install again and I did it (thank you Gilles).
After the install, I started like this:
START NORECOVERY NOSYSSTART LOGON=MANAGER.SYS (thank you Donna for the document)
Then, I check for the storecat.pub.sys:
:LISTF [log in to unmask],1
Only STORE.PUB.SYS exists. No STORECAT.PUB.SYS exist.
I built the file:
:BUILD STORECAT;REC=-80,,F,ASCII;DISC=3898 (thanks Joseph and Jack)
I check again with the LISTF to see if the asterisk appears. No asterisk.
I perform the restore in another group (thanks Keven, Craig and Jack)
:FILE T;DEV=TAPE
:RESTORE *T;STORECAT.PUB.SYS;GROUP=INSTALL;SHOW
and also restore the FCOPY from my full backup
:RESTORE *T;FCOPY.PUB.SYS;SHOW
after the restore, I check again for the asterisk on the storecat file. No asterisk.
I purge the storecat.pub.sys and then I use the FCOPY:
:PURGE STORECAT.PUB.SYS
:FCOPY FROM=STORECAT.INSTALL;TO=STORECAT.PUB;NEW
I perform the full restore and everything is ok.
Thank you Stan for your explanation about the bootup:
"If she hasn't done a bootup, then the fake STORECAT should be purgeable,
and the approach several people gave (restoring into a different group) should work fine." (it works)
and finally, thanks to Denys, Barry, Mark and Johnson. Thank you everybody.
