Hi--
We have an application that was written in Microsoft Access 1.0. A
few months ago the computer upon which it resided was upgraded to Win98
(they probably did a fresh install of the OS, installed MS Office, then
copied the files in this particular folder over to the new machine), at
which time the Access database quit working (when one tries to open or
convert the database we get an error message saying "Couldn't create; no
modify design permission for the table or query 'MSysModules2'"
I can get at the tables in the database by creating a new database
and linking them, but I also need the forms and reports. I imagine that
I'm going to eventually have to re-write this from scratch, I just
thought I'd see if anyone else has ran into and solved this problem.
Note: I get the "...MSysModules2" error message when trying to open
it w/ Access97; if I use Access from OfficeXP I get "This operation is
not supported for Microsoft Access 1.X databases." I've tried opening
it w/ the shift key down, perhaps that doesn't work because the database
has to be converted? I also did a quick Google search and didn't turn
up anything.
  Thanks,
--alex
