We've recently installed a Linejet 1500s using the built in TCP/IP port.
We've configured it in SYSGEN and NPCONFIG, and everything works fine except
for the banner_header command. The global heading is false since most of
the printers are laserjets, but we want the line printers to be true.
However, even with the below configuration, we can't get banner headers on
our linejet. How come?? The 5.5 communicator article on network printing
says:

"(With one exception, setup_file, items found in the LDEV specific entries
take precedence over those in the global entry.)"

:print npconfig.pub.sys
global (banner_header = false
        banner_trailer = false
        setup_file = NPSETUP.UTIL.SYS)
6   (network_address = 172.20.200.55   # Comp Rm LINEJET 1500 printer
     snmp_enabled = false
     pjl_supported = true
     data_timeout = 30
     banner_header = true
     setup_file = NP6.UTIL.SYS
     poll_interval = 3)
