Judging from the remarks on an application oriented list I'm on for
a Oracle based application, AIX users have the hardest time keeping
it patched and running. Right about along side Compaq Unix and
"open"VMS. Solaris and HPUX users don't complain much at all. I
think this represents the level of Oracle support as much as anything.
Solaris is more difficult to configure, from what I can tell, but
there are more people around that might help you.

Linux is probably the easiest of all the U*** options.

By the way, there is no other list like Hp3000-L, because there
is no other (computer platform) community like the HP3000 community
and no other computer organization like CSY.
