Mine scooter is a bicycle. About 12 miles on 2 slices of bread and a
tablespoon of peanut butter. Don't know exactly what that works out to be.
I am sure not 80 miles for 3 bucks, but I do burn calories.

I recently bought a scooter to ride to work.
The thing that sold me was averaging 80+ mpg.
I'm only a few miles from work so it saves me time and money.
Even the larger scooters or cycles get 50+mpg, but my budget was <$1,500
and I got it for $1,400 with 250km on the dial.
In the two months since I got it I would have spend on average $30 per
tank to fillup my (admittedly old) Jetta.
And I tend to fillup a couple of times a week.
I regularly go a week on 1 gallon with the scooter (~$3.00 for premium.)
Sure, I get some odd looks and double-takes here and there and some kids
feel the need to laugh and point.
But I'm smiling every time I buy my "one gallon, please!" for the week.
Who's laughing now?
;-)

Another reason we have to get off it.
