Somewhat similar...I can recall hearing about a help desk call where when a
user called indicating they could not get a colon-prompt.  The help desk
person told the clerk that the computer center had just ran out of colons
and the new shipment had just arrived at the storehouse and was being
delivered to the computer center that afternoon.  The clerk indicated they
would try again after lunch.....
