I don't know how IBM Global Services is performing their Y2K changes,
but I do know how EDS (Dallas) is trying to do it.

Caveat emptor.

My current employer outsourced to EDS for Y2K for both the IBM and HP
sides....with all IBM'ers doing the changes. They ported the source
code over to a PC product and tried to change and compile it. They
changed it alright. But they couldn't compile it <g>. When they
finally returned the code for our review on the HP 3000, it wouldn't
even compile clean. They also tried to change a FORMSPEC file on the
PC. The laughs just keep coming.

Last week, they finally found an HP programmer to come in and take over.
With as much trouble as they had finding an available experience HP
person, he said that he was getting some pretty big $$$. Good news for
us I'm hoping.
