Maybe you are being asked what device your backup tape is mounted on,
if so was there a PIN number associated with this message ?

Use the RECALL command to see if you have any outstanding requests
e.g.

SYS:recall
No replies pending. (CIWARN 3020)

        in my case I don't, but the PIN immediately precedes the
LDEV# element - then use the reply command to indicate the number
of the tape device on which you have mounted the tape e.g.
assuming LDEV 7 ( usually a DAT device ) :-


        REPLY  NN,7             where NN is the PIN number ( Oh! and don't
forget to mount a tape in that device ).

I get the following error while trying to do a backup on the HP3000.

LDEV# for "T" on TAPE (NUM) ?

can anyone please tell me what it means ??
