We have a 3000 958 that seems to have a bad CPU card. During the selftest I
get a FLT 2040, CBFF. HP tells me it's a HPMC error that relates to Cache
on the CPU card. Here's the kicker. HP wants over $10K for a CPU card
that's over 10 years old and nearly $2,000 for the service call. This is a
bit crazy for a archive system. I have called some resellers and no one
seems to have one or wants to sell me one.

What do you suggest... I might be a canidate for a new A class 3000.

TIA
