Hi

- what was your RESTORE command?

- the command is BULDACCT, if you just fat fingered here, and really failed
to find BULDACCT on your system (possibly in PUB.SYS?), then I'm completely
lost... hopefully others might help.

- If your tapes are not "exceedingly ancient", the RESTORE command has a
;LISTDIR option, as in (from memory and with help from
http://www.hpmmsupport.com/MPE%20Manual/5500/B3265090856.16122/174.htm):

FILE SYSLIST=<a file spec for where you want your list>
RESTORE *T;@[log in to unmask]@;DIRECTORY;LISTDIR
