Actually, I think both Dale Strommer and Charles Finley Jr. are correct.
The HP2893A we used did not have an HPIB interface on it.  I seem to
remember it having an interface like that on the old HP2617 printer,
which if the card reader was built by Data Products makes sense.

I'm also positive that in later years either there was an HPIB version of
the HP2893A or there was a third-party solution, as one of my customers
had an HPIB interface on their card reader.
