Out of curiosity (and deep suspicion), I ran parts of the email message
below through the Babel Fish translator at AltaVista.

I often use this when trying to understand some of the postings made here to
the HP3000-L.

The results were interesting:-

"Mengatur masalah Tunjangan Masa Kerja yaitu menentukan nominal tunjangan
masa kerja yang akan diberikan kepada karyawan bulanan yang dihitung
berdasarkan masa kerja karyawan tersebut."

Translated to:-

"Mengatur to masalayu Of tunzhangan Of masa Of kerzha to yaitu of menentukan
the rating of tunzhangan of masa of kerzha of yang of akan of diberikan of
kepada of karyashan of bulanan of yang of diyuitung of berdasarkan of masa
of kerzha of karyashan tersebutt. "

Notice the careful interspersing of "of", sometimes captialised, sometimes
not. Also the mysterious phrase "the rating of" replaces the seemingly
innocuous word "nominal".

Also, the subtle spelling correction of "tersebut" at the end.

Then, as I was spell checking the message before sending (I always do this
as a courtesy to those lexicon advantaged readers, much as musicians tune to
concert pitch for in deference to those in the audience with perfect pitch,
and I NEVER confuse loose with lose), Microsoft Spellchecker revealed the
following:-

"Miniature macula Tujunga Mesa Kara yeti menentukan nominal Tujunga mesa
karma yang akin Iberian keypad kerrawang butane yang debiting berdasarkan
mesa karma kerrawang terse but."

Again, strangely frequent references to karma and yang, with butane and
keypad mentioned at least once each, and the terse but separated!

Could this be another subtle attack, to undermine our IT confidence,
perhaps?

I have been working on HP hardware for 20 years and
a "Mengatur" jam is always a software problem.
No Doubt in my mind.
