Amen to that! I have often thought that sometimes our negative discussions,
though few and far between, do not help our cause. Of course, this groups
vigulence has what has helped kept the 3000 viable, so we should never let
our guard down. It is often a tightrope walk.

As far as a suitable gesture to show support, I believe that the subject of
your message "HP 3000 Rebirth Celebration" would provide an excellent theme.
What also
will help long-term viability is attracting more applications to the
platform, so
tying this in to our gesture may also be appropriate.

Some Ideas.

T-shirts.

A t-shirt to be worn by all on a specific day. This would certainly show
strength
in numbers. A suitable slogan may be:

HP3000, try it again for the first time. :)

This may upset the folks at Kellogs, though. If everyone likes the T-shirt
idea
then I'm sure people smarter than me can come up with a suitable slogan.
The shirts should stand out, and would acknowledge that much of the
Proposition
3000, initiative has been successful.

Photo Album.

Have as many people as possible bring pictures of their HP 3000s for a photo
album
to be presented to HP, specifically Harry Sterling. The front should say
something
like "Our Family" or "Our first baby". This could also be prepared ahead of
time.

Well that's all I have in my brain at the moment.

All the best,

Neil Armstrong
