Why don't you use the HP3000 to *GET* the file instead of putting it?
That's the route I used to interface an HP3000 to Gentran/NT. I forget
the file off-hand but I think it's something like HOSTS.NET.SYS which is
where you put the IP address of your PC or NT-side machine. There's also
some setup in NMMGR and you have to stream a job that does a Network
Startup (Once per Systen Boot). (I'm at home so don't remember off-hand
what it is - it has worked for months so I haven't needed to look at
it).
