Anybody have any hands-on experience with remote DTC's using the
routed AFCP protocol? I am reviewing the feasibility of this new
capability for some connections on a network of HP3000's with groups
of users spread out across the country. Some of the particular
feedback I am looking for is...

     - Is it implemented on an isolated network, or are there gateways to
other networks? Are the Domain Name Server entries being distributed
on up through gateway DNS? And are the remote DTC's on different
networks (DNS zones)? (I am encountering some resistance from my DNS
Administration about the extra WKS and TXT entries required for routed
AFCP since our private network does have gateways into the Internet.)

     - Any positive/negative feedback on performance and configuration
management issues? Any implementation war stories?

You can respond directly to my e-mail address ([log in to unmask])
if you want to, but I would think the whole group might be interested
     general experiences.
     Thanks ....
