It appears your comparing COBOL's functional abilities, and the availability
of COBOL compilers to the poor handling, and inability to get parts for a
50's model automobile...hmmm....I'm gonn'a go out on a limb here, but I
don't think that analogy works in this case.  Of course, I probably just
misunderstood your intent...since you obviously know a lot about COBOL and
cars.    :-)
