I did some timings regarding DDS3 capacities and speeds (and part
numbers:)) a while back.
Look in the Archives at http://raven.utc.edu/archives/hp3000-l.html and
search for DDS3.
Since then, we have attached four DDS3 drives to a 959/400 and the
client uses these to back up in parallel (Turbostore).
Here are some statistics:- 43.9 GB in 1Hr34Min. with what looks like a
quarter of real capacity used.(The 43GB compresses to 12.9GB).
