I cant resist putting in my two penn'orth in on this thread.

Some time ago I got a replacement laptop with a Centrino Duo running XP.

I managed to kill it so often I thought I would try the newly out Vista
in the hope that it would manage the threading better.

Well Vista didn't lock up like XP but just got very slow and waiting 20
minutes to use it from start up was like re-booting and old HPe3K

So I put on Windows 7 (or is it Windows 6.1??) and all is well with the
world!!

BTW I haven't dug out my copy to check but accepted wisdom (Wikipedia)
thinks that the Vogons say that "Resistance is useless" and the Borg who
said "Resistance is futile"!

What is really sad is that I bothered to check!

Ken
