Hi Jeff,
If it is a text file you might try an ASCII transfer instead of BINARY, I see the same thing sometimes when I use binary on text files...
Thanks,
Gary

Subject: [HP3000-L] FTP question
I am attempting a direct FTP to a business partner from my HP3000 and am
losing the record length/line feed/carriage return in the file during
the FTP process. Here is the scripting I am using:
!SETVAR SM2FILE ("SPT_" + '!HPyyyymmdd')
!echo EXITONERROR > FTPTEMP
!echo OPEN ipaddress >> FTPTEMP
!echo USER username password >> FTPTEMP
!ECHO BINARY >> FTPTEMP
!ECHO CD /directory1/directory2 >> FTPTEMP
!ECHO PROMPT >> FTPTEMP
!ECHO PUT !SMTFILE.MANOUT !SM2FILE.MAN>> FTPTEMP
!ECHO QUIT >> FTPTEMP
!run ftp.arpa.sys < FTPTEMP
Odd thing is that when we go from the HP to an internal Windows server
and then Windows server to business partner, we have no problem with the
record format.
Any ideas?
