> MAXIMUM USER COUNT PER LOG PROCESS REACHED

As per subject:  <grovel>,<grovel>,<grovel>

Even though it obliquely crossed my mind earlier today, I had
the ">1100" number firmly in my mind.... I was so SURE there
was nothing in SYSGEN that was set at a low limit I didn't even
bother to check before posting my message and wasting
everybody's time.

Then when Rene was good enough to talk to me about this
tonight he reminded me what the default settings were; for
# of users per logging process.... did I *really* blow right
by that..... oops.... yup..... like I said:
<grovel>, <grovel>, <grovel>

Raise current limit and reboot; and all will be well....

SIDEBAR helpful hint from Rene; that I pass on with credit to
the author; in a small attempt to provide some useful info as
penance:

At first thought I would set the limit up to max.... but consider
this: If you set at 1140 and eventually hit it; then you have a
problem that might be real hard (and time consuming) to work
around (re-engineer app, etc.). Setting the limit a bit below
1140 is probably wise if you really don't need to go to max;
since then if you hit a lower limit you will notice; and can still
raise another step to provide a "cushion" to change your app
without having an immediate crises.  I went from 128 to 800;
that should be more than enough for anything we will ever need
to do...

Thanks to any and all others who helpfully replied.... Our
station mail servers seem to have embargoed 3000-L for the
last 90 minutes or so; so I haven't gotten direct copies of any
new list traffic during that time....

Apologies to all, and thanks to Rene and all that responded so
quickly.....
