Then again, there is the signal HP appears to be sending out in a recent ad
which can be found at:
 
   http://www.hp.com:80/csy/graphics/3000ad.gif
 
It implies that HP expects the 3000 to be around in the year 3000.
Personally, I know a lot of customers that are depending upon HP supporting
the HP 3000 for at least another 20 years.  A couple have gotten burned by
the rush to UNIX and would rather have a working HP 3000 than a fashionable
HP 9000.
