Actually, with the later releases of the Wollongong WIN/TCP product, this is
no longer necessary.  There is also a trick to allow for a default route,
since HP doesn't provide a way to do it directly under NS/3000 for MPE/V.

Contact the Wollongong Group directly at 415-962-7100 for information.  The
product you want is called "WIN/TCP for MPE/V".
 
We have been using the product here at the University of Maryland System for
years; it works fairly well for our use.  Incoming telnet works just fine;
outgoing telnet works quite poorly.  Incoming and outgoing FTP work quite
well, as do incoming/outgoing mail.  (We are interfacing to HPDesk.)

You will need a LAN interface, and some kind of connection to the Internet.
