We have had an HP5000 D640 for about a month now. It prints everything
that we previously printed on the old Laserjet 2000. We use Fantasia for
pre-processing the printjobs and all the fonts work. We are using a serial
connection to drive the printer.

Once we got over problems with paper specs (the paper we were using caused
quite a few jams), the printer is working very well. The only complaint we
have is that on print jobs that use very small font sizes, the printer
slows down. We haven't determined why yet.
