Hi,
Any idea what is actually happening when the MPE i/X STORE command issues

the above message on the SYSLIST and then the store does not progress?

A SHOWDEV <drive> shows the drive to be online and write enabled, as in:
LDEV AVAIL OWNERSHIP VOLID DEN ASSOCIATION

    7 AVAIL (W) (Nolabel) 1600

My guess is the tape is bad, but thought I'd ask here if there is any oth
er
more experienced analysis available. TIA.

Sincerely,
James Dunlap
