Depending upon where your data is, that ranges from easy to difficult.

Too bad...but, hey, that's good for employment, eh? (Takes more people
to run an HP 9000 than an HP 3000 ... as you already know yourself :)

For philosophical background, you could check our "Beyond RISC!" book
at http://www.allegro.com/beyond_risc.html
Although old, it's information is still pretty accurate.

A difficult to understand sentence.

If you mean that you've discovered how much more you've been paying
to run an HP 9000 than an HP 3000 (i.e.: you were "taken" by buying
into the Unix hype), then I sympathize with you.

If you mean that you think you've discovered the opposite, then you
haven't really been reading the postings :)

If you need consulting to help, check the consultants list at
www.3k.com ... but, boy it that difficult to navigate/search through!

Good luck,
